About our group: Korat Drive Functional Engineering – Contain of 5 job functions (Read/Write (R/W), Head Media Electrical (HME), Drive Servo (SVO), Drive Mechanical (MECH) and Head Disk Mechanical (HDM). Overall assignment is a Hard Disc Drive (HDD) technical support team that works closely with product engineer, design center and reliability team to solving HDD problems, improving product quality, yield and test-time in related field of each function. About the role - you will: Collaborate with Product Engineers, Design Center Engineers and Reliability team to solve Hard Disc Drive (HDD) problems, improving product quality, yield and test-time in ARS function, related field, contain of HDD’s Mechanical and Electrical parts, Head-Media components analysis, Lead critical products and projects in ARS(HDM) function, which related to Head flyability, Head-Media interaction, Mechanical and/or Chemical effect to drive quality and performance. Assist and/or initiate any drive’s test process, generate process improvements ideas and actively participate in design concepts. Provide direct on-site support to manufacturing operations, product engineers, reliability team, and design centers Perform data analysis, electrical failure analysis (EFA) by using Seagate’s HDD tools, computer programing (C and Python) and MATLAB in order to find root-cause, understand problems and/or new design such as changes in electrical/mechanical component or new features/algorithms Monitor product performance, yield and quality focusing on ARS related field Be a technical consultant to Product Engineers, Reliability team and factory team About you: Organization, ability to manage and support multiple projects Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work across multiple teams and collaborate effectively Good communication and presentation skills Good command of English Able to lead and coach team members Able to host meetings with teams Your experience includes: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Engineer discipline, Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunication, Computer, material science and/or equivalent experience Microsoft Office, computer programing (C and Python) and Matlab Product and/or project management Data analysis skills Location: Korat, Thailand Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide.
