Job Description We are a busy independent retail environment looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and customer-focused individual to become part of our deli team. Job Responsibilities Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service at all times. Prepare and serve hot food in line with company standards and food safety regulations. Carry out bake-off preparation of bread, pastries, and other bakery items. Complete daily temperature checks, date checks, and food safety records. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the deli area. Assist with stock rotation and replenishment. Support the wider shop team, including till operations and general store duties when the deli area is quiet. Build positive relationships with regular customers and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Qualifications Previous deli, food service, retail, or customer service experience is desirable but not essential. Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food hygiene standards. Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
