Subtitle We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to prepare and process import documentation while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Your Profile High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1-3 years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international logistics. Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, classification, and import entry procedures. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, analytical, and time management abilities. Self-motivated team player who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines. Proficient in written and spoken English. Flexibility to work weekends as needed. Your Duties Prepare and submit customs entries for air, ocean, and ground shipments in compliance with CBP regulations. Classify imported goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure accurate duty and tax assessments. Review commercial documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, for accuracy and compliance. Communicate with customers, carriers, and government agencies to resolve documentation and import compliance issues. Monitor shipments to ensure timely customs clearance, release, and delivery. Maintain accurate entry records and correspondence in accordance with CBP audit requirements. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support efficient import operations. Stay informed of changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirements. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
