He angitūtanga: The opportunity Join Auckland Council at a pivotal moment of transformation and play a key leadership role in shaping the future of technology delivery across some of Auckland's most critical transport services. As Head of Transport Delivery, you'll lead the safe, coordinated and reliable delivery of complex technology initiatives supporting transport-related business functions including Parking, Roading and Transport Infrastructure. This is a rare opportunity to influence how technology enables essential services that impact hundreds of thousands of Aucklanders every day. Please note this is a 12 months fixed term opportunity. You'll be entrusted with a significant and highly visible portfolio, leading technology delivery through a period of change while ensuring operational stability and service excellence remain front and centre. Working closely with senior leaders across Technology Services and transport functions, you'll help shape a unified technology operating model that delivers long-term value for the city. What you'll be leading Delivery of strategic technology programmes and initiatives across Parking, Roading and Transport Infrastructure. A large and complex portfolio supporting critical operational services. Cross-functional teams navigating organisational change and transformation. Delivery governance, risk management, assurance and executive stakeholder engagement. The integration of transport technology delivery into Auckland Council's wider Technology Services operating model. Ko koe tēnei | About you You're a seasoned technology delivery leader who thrives in large, complex environments and knows how to balance transformation with operational excellence. You'll have: 15+ years of senior technology delivery leadership experience. Strong transport, infrastructure, roading, parking or related technology domain expertise. A proven track record delivering large-scale technology programmes and portfolios. Experience leading through organisational change, transformation or operating model transitions. Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at executive level. A passion for building high-performing teams and delivering outcomes that matter.
