The Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Sr. Manager develops and oversees all aspects of the global Procurement and Strategic sourcing efforts related to the assigned categories across Rheem globally while ensuring business alignment with our business units and functional business partners. For the business portfolio and category assigned: Owns the business results, delivers significant value in terms of cost reduction, delivers projects on time with a discipline approach to project management, brings innovation and benchmark-best practices from the industry to the categories, manages supplier performance and creates best in industry relationships and partnerships with vendors, and is recognized as the subject matter expert in all things related to the managed categories. This is a critical role that contributes significantly to the cost competitiveness of Rheem, the availability of components and our quality, and ensures categories are driven by a long term strategy that includes its definition, a robust supply market research, industry benchmarks, selection and partnership with vendors, strong negotiations and contract management discipline, outstanding project execution of the strategy, and clear accountability to deliver KPIs and track its results. All efforts, plans, projects, actions and activities: must translate into results that are measured, progressively improving, and are sustainable. We are a results oriented procurement organization. This role will be located in Atlanta, GA (Hybrid).
• Develop and lead efficient and effective category strategy as the top subject matter expert
• Maximize cost improvement projects at pair with industry benchmarks; delivers all projects on time
• Ensures contract and purchasing agreements compliance, works actively to renew; zero expired contracts
• Collaborate closely with the leaders across the matrix globally (Product, R&D, Engineering, Sales, BU leadership)
• Focus and expertise on Risk management, internal customer satisfaction, and on total cost of ownership is critical
• Supports and collaborates with new product introductions across business units
• Works closely and supports engineering on strategic projects for our company
• Monitor market trends and commodity dynamics to proactively adjust sourcing strategies and respond to supply disruptions.
• Travel as needed to visit Rheem manufacturing facilities and supplier operations, both domestically and internationally.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field of study or equivalent experience • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a business leader with supervisory experience • Experience with defining and implementing effective Sourcing and Procurement Policies, Processes, and Tools • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization • High degree of proficiency in Oracle, Microsoft Office tools to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is required • Proven record of managing multiple projects on time and within budget • Excellent presentation skills, including ability to engage with leadership at all levels of and organization • Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward • Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately Other Requirements:
• Ability to travel within the Unites States and internationally (including heavy travel to Asia) to meet with Rheem’s Global Procurement teams, factory teams, and suppliers in support of product strategies and activities (25 – 50% travel)
