Responsible for organization wide readiness and business continuity initiatives, providing management and oversight of planning, organizing, educating, and training for emergency response capabilities and ensuring effective business continuity management systems are maintained.
• Develops and manages an effective readiness and continuity program, and reports on program metrics in accordance with established reporting schedules.
• Manages and coordinates the Readiness and Continuity team work streams.
• Evaluates and prepares annual performance appraisals for subordinate employees.
• Supports and enhances the vision and mission of the Protective Services Department and SSMC.
• Oversees the maintenance of the Hospital Incident Command System and Incident Command Center.
• Manages and coordinates the activities of the Readiness and Continuity Committee and its SubCommittees and Task Forces.
• Oversees the implementation of improvement action plans and initiatives.
• Facilitates actual emergency response activities and decisions in accordance with developed and approved response plans.
• Develops and monitors short term and long-term readiness and continuity program budgets and resource forecasts.
• Develop and maintain organization wide training and education in relation to readiness and continuity.
• Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders, key community partners, regulatory authorities, and accreditation bodies.
• Reviews and monitors all activities in relation to Emergency Management and the Business Continuity Management System.
Accountabilities
• Manages and oversees the execution of the Readiness and Continuity Program.
• Develops and is responsible for implementing and evaluating departmental goals, objectives, and programs within the department.
Experience :-
Required:
• 7-9 years of relevant progressive experience in a similar role with 3 years of supervisory experience
Desired:
• Experience in a large Healthcare facility
Educational Qualification: Required:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as law, emergency management, occupational Health, Safety, Environment, OR Diploma in a relevant field with 7 years of additional experience

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
