About this role

As a Lead Engineering Technician here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will oversee and coordinate technical activities within engineering projects, ensuring precise execution and adherence to quality standards. You will provide technical guidance to team members and collaborate closely with engineers to support the development and implementation of aerospace technologies.

You will report directly to our Engineering Supervisor and you’ll work out of our Clearwater, Florida location on an on-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of aerospace engineering projects, contributing to the advancement of innovative solutions that enhance aerospace product performance and reliability.

• Lead and coordinate technical tasks and activities within engineering projects to ensure timely and accurate completion. • Provide technical support and mentorship to engineering technicians and junior staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing. • Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot technical issues, optimize processes, and implement improvements in aerospace product development.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 4+ years experience in engineering technician roles, preferably within aerospace or related industries • High school diploma or equivalent WE VALUE

• Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, technical documentation, and quality standards • Proficiency with engineering tools such as CAD software, data analysis tools, and project tracking systems to support technical tasks and project coordination • Experience in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing process improvements in an engineering environment • Advanced technical certifications or associate degree in engineering technology or related fields • Experience leading technical teams or projects in aerospace or manufacturing settings • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams • Knowledge of aerospace regulatory standards and compliance requirements • Ability to mentor and develop junior technicians and foster a culture of continuous improvement Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements.
