How you’ll contribute
A Respiratory Therapy Student who excels in this role:
• Assists respiratory therapists with preparing for and providing patient care.
• Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
• Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
• Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
• Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.

What we’re looking for The Respiratory Therapist Student must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program and completed a minimum of 2 semesters of the program.
• State Board of Respiratory Care (Student)
• Must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program and completed a minimum of 2 semesters of the program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
