UE06: £34,610 - £39,906 per annum CSE / School of Biological Sciences Full time: 35 hours per week Fixed term: 18 months The Opportunity: The School of Biological Sciences is seeking an experienced technician to provide specialist technical support within the Edinburgh Protein Production Facility (EPPF). The postholder will help ensure the efficient running, maintenance and development of the facility, supporting users across the University and external partners with protein expression, purification, and associated experimental design. Applicants should have practical experience in protein expression and purification, including use and maintenance of modern liquid chromatography systems, alongside strong laboratory skills and good knowledge of health and safety procedures. Applicants should also have practical experience in running and providing advice on biophysical platforms in workflows for the solution QC of protein reagents. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves advising and supporting a wide range of facility users.
