Casino Banquet Server, On-Call, Shift Varies per Events & Promotions, $15.00/hr +tips POSITION SUMMARY The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. Accountable for serving banquets guests both on property and off.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.)
• Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, fun, and friendly environment for guests and employees.
• Provides superior guest service, interacts positively with guests and employees, and has the ability to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Works effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
• Responsible for complete and accurate set-up of all banquet functions in a timely manner.
• Clean-up and secure banquet equipment, control inventory.
• Assure the efficient, smooth serving of a large quantity of guests in a timely manner.
• Has a thorough knowledge of all special events and promotional activities. Assists guests with all reasonable requests.
• Safe distribution of alcohol. Follows TIPS guidelines for serving alcohol responsibly.
• Ensure the safety and security of guests and employees.
• Completes all company required training within designated time frames.
• Be a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a “yes we can” attitude, every guest every time.
• Comply with our drug & alcohol free workplace. Subject to post offer, for cause/post-accident drug tests.
• Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to, use of heavy trays, chafers, racks, chairs and tables. As well as the setting and clean up of linen, glassware, silverware, and dishes.
• Casino environment exposed to varied temperatures, loud noise, smoke, and low level or bright lights.
• Bending 20 %, Walking 40 %, Lifting 30 % (up to 40 lbs), 10% Pushing/pulling (up to 100 lbs.).
• Ability to be at work on time as scheduled on a regular basis which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment under frequent time pressure.
• Ability to efficiently move among guests, tables and equipment carrying trays and dishes.
• Previous serving experience preferred.
