About this role
A barback is responsible for stocking bars, clean-up of areas and assisting bartenders as needed.
• Give prompt, pleasant, courteous and efficient service.
• Utilize alcohol awareness training at all times.
• Complete all side work duties and ensure work area is prepared for succeeding shift.
• Offer a unique service while sustaining a level of professionalism that will encourage all guests to return.
• Ensure all back up supplies stocked, e.g., glassware, napkins.
• Keep all ice bins full.
• Ensure all liquor bottles without seal are returned to liquor room.
• Other duties as assigned
• Must be 21 years of age or older • High School Diploma/GED preferred. • Must be able to obtain & maintain an Illinois Non-Gaming License.
• Must have alcohol awareness training and be certified.
• Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk during shifts. • Must be able to move around in small spaces. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. • Requires bending, stooping pushing, kneeling, and reaching overhead. • Excellent guest service and communication skills. • Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality. • Must always present a professional appearance and demeanor. • Ability to read, write and speak English. • Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity. • Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease. • Possess effective learning skills. • Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period • Salary Range: $14.00 per hour (plus tips)
