Summary
The Production Scheduler is the operational heartbeat of Wavelynx's manufacturing function. You will own the translation of customer demand and sales forecasts into executable, day-by-day production schedules; coordinating across manufacturing, supply chain, contract manufacturing, quality, and engineering to keep product flowing on time. This role sits at the intersection of planning and execution: you will work in NetSuite daily and be the first person to flag and resolve schedule risks before they become missed shipments.
Duties/Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
• Build and maintain the master production schedule aligned to customer orders, sales forecasts, and inventory targets
• Convert MRP-generated requirements into firm production work orders and purchase triggers in NetSuite
• Work with manufacturing engineering to develop capacity plans for each production line, including production totals, scheduling accuracy, shift structure, and planned downtime based on demand
• Identify and resolve material shortages, capacity constraints, and lead time conflicts before they impact shipments
• Adjust schedules dynamically in response to engineering changes, supplier delays, customer demand shifts, or manufacturing yield issues
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Serve as the daily scheduling interface between Inside Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and
• Communicate proactively with the Supply Chain Manager and contract manufacturing partners on schedule risks, material availability, and capacity needs
• Coordinate with Director of Manufacturing on capacity planning for people and machines
• Coordinate with the Supply Chain Manager on purchase order timing to ensure component availability aligns with scheduled production runs
• Partner with Engineering to incorporate new product introductions, ECO changes, and product transitions into the production schedule without disrupting ongoing output
• Monitor component inventory levels daily and flag shortage conditions with recommended corrective actions
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Produce and distribute daily/weekly schedule adherence and on-time delivery reports to leadership
• Track and report schedule attainment KPIs; identify root causes of misses and drive corrective actions
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reduce lead times, and increase schedule predictability
• Participate in S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings, providing accurate short- and medium-term production capacity input
Required Skills/Abilities
• 3–5+ years of production scheduling or production planning experience in an electronics, hardware, or technology manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with an ERP/MRP system; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for schedule modeling, capacity analysis, and reporting
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment
• Strong communicator; able to clearly convey schedule status, risks, and trade-offs to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
• High attention to detail and a bias toward proactive problem identification over reactive firefighting
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
