About this role
What is the opportunity?
We're looking for a Product Designer to create intuitive, visually compelling websites and digital experiences. You'll turn business goals and user needs into thoughtful interfaces, working closely with developers to bring your designs to life. This position is for a 3 month contract with a possibility for extension or becoming a permanent role.
What will you achieve?
• Design Ownership: You will own the wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and information architecture for a marquee financial institution client — shaping the digital experience for a brand people already trust with their money.
• Execution Drive: You will drive this project from concept to launch yourself, keeping momentum without needing to be chased for the next deliverable.
• Team Impact: You will become a go-to contributor on the design team — someone whose input others actively seek out and whose work raises the bar for everyone around you.
What do you need for this role?
• Figma Fluency: You are highly proficient in Figma, including using Figma Make to accelerate concepting and prototyping.
• AI-Forward Workflow: You're comfortable incorporating tools like Claude for Design into your process to move faster without sacrificing quality.
• Process & Tracking: You navigate JIRA independently, keeping your tasks and progress visible to the team.
• Client-Facing Communication: You have strong client communication skills and can present, defend, and adjust your design decisions directly with clients.
Bonus Points:
• Experience designing for financial institutions, banking, insurance, or other regulated industries.
Who are you?
• Self-Directed: You take initiative. You don't wait to be told what's next — you spot the gap and move on it.
• Detail-Oriented: You sweat the details other people miss — spacing, states, edge cases — because you know quality lives in the details.
• AI-Fluent: You're excited by AI tools like Claude and Figma Make, and you use them to work smarter and faster, not to cut corners.
What does the hiring process look like?
• Screening Interview. This initial discussion with HR covers your background and salary expectations, while specifically assessing your communication style and self-discipline for an environment like ours.
• Hiring Manager Interview. This step digs into the core capabilities of the role to ensure you have the required experience, and may include specific technical questions depending on the position.
• Team & Values Interview. You will meet with potential cross-functional colleagues to assess your collaborative style and ensure you align with the team's values.
• Background & Reference Checks. We verify employment history and performance with your provided references after a successful final interview, as well as a Criminal Background Check and Global Sanctions Check.
What do we offer?
We support our team with a robust total rewards package that prioritizes your health, future, and work-life balance starting on your very first day.
• 100% Employer-Paid Premiums. We cover the full cost of your Health and Dental premiums (Long Term Disability premiums are employee-paid).
• Comprehensive Health Benefits (Day 1). Full coverage starts immediately, including 100% Prescription Drug Coverage and Extended Healthcare, 80% Dental, Vision Care, Life Insurance, AD&D, and Critical Illness.
