About this role

BAMBOO PREMIUM FINANCING

Lending Operations Administrator

Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid) Job type: Full-time, Permanent Reports to: Finance Manager

Keep the money moving — accurately, every single day

Bamboo is scaling, and the loans behind that growth have to be administered flawlessly. As Lending Operations Administrator, you’ll run the daily transactional core of our premium-finance business: the bank files that move funds in and out, the reconciliations that prove they landed correctly, the settlements, refunds, and adjustments that keep client accounts accurate, and the collection queues that protect the portfolio.

This is a precision seat. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be hands-on in our Odyssey loan-administration platform every day, and you’ll be the person who catches the variance, the duplicate loan, or the status mismatch before it reaches a client. It’s also a growth role — we’re hiring someone to grow within the team as Bamboo expands from a regional base to a national platform.

What you bring

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in loan administration, financial operations, or an accounting role with daily transaction volume — with direct ownership of the work, not supporting roles.

• Direct experience preparing bank reconciliations, posting journal entries, and delivering against month-end timelines.

• Experience processing electronic bank files and high-volume financial transactions, including pre-submission validation.

• A working understanding of loan servicing mechanics: payouts, settlements, refunds, collections, write-offs, and terminations.

• Strong Excel skills, including reconciling and comparing large datasets — a daily task in this role, not an occasional one.

• The investigative instinct to chase a variance until you know its cause, and the judgment to escalate when it isn’t yours to resolve.

• Strong documentation and audit-trail discipline, and sound judgment handling confidential financial and client information.

• Clear written and verbal client communication skills.

• Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or Accounting — or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Bonus points for

• Direct experience with the Red Planet Software Odyssey platform, or a comparable loan-administration system.

• An insurance background — P&C brokerage operations, MGA operations, or premium finance specifically.

• Exposure to EFT, direct debit, and payment-processing workflows.

• Experience in a subsidiary or affiliate of a larger financial institution (parent-company reporting, governance cadences, audit-readiness).

• Progress toward a CPA designation or equivalent accounting credential.
