Position Summary

Mosai is seeking a mid-to-senior Mobile Software Engineer to build and evolve Mosai Mobile, the iOS and Android application clinicians use in the field. You will deliver reliable, intuitive features that help home-based care teams document care, coordinate work, and remain productive when connectivity is limited or unavailable.

The ideal candidate is a strong React Native engineer who enjoys end-to-end ownership, collaborates effectively with Product and QA, and can contribute to native iOS and Android code when needed.

Job Duties:

• Help evolve an AI-native software development lifecycle by using AI-assisted tools for planning, implementation, testing, documentation, code review, and troubleshooting.

• Identify practical opportunities to improve development velocity and quality through AI-enabled workflows, while maintaining strong engineering judgment and appropriate human review.

• Design, build, test, and release features for Mosai Mobile using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.

• Own work across the mobile client, including user interface, application state, API integrations, and local data storage.

• Build for reliability in real-world field conditions, including offline workflows, synchronization, error handling, retries, and app store releases.

• Contribute to native iOS and Android code when a feature requires platform-specific capabilities beyond JavaScript.

• Use AI coding assistants as part of the development workflow while maintaining responsibility for the quality, security, privacy, and correctness of released software.

• Write and maintain automated tests, participate in code reviews, and help improve engineering standards.

• Partner closely with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineering to deliver high-quality mobile experiences.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Demonstrated ability to use AI-assisted development tools effectively as part of the software development lifecycle, with accountability for code quality, security, privacy, and correctness.

• Five or more years of software engineering experience, including at least three years building and shipping React Native applications for both iOS and Android.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and React Native.

• Experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs.

• Ability to read, debug, and contribute to Swift and/or Kotlin code.

• Strong product judgment and the ability to translate user needs into clear, well-designed mobile experiences.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, such as Cursor, Codex, or Claude, and an interest in using them thoughtfully and effectively.

• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience helping teams adopt or improve AI-native engineering practices, including AI-assisted testing, code review, documentation, and developer workflows.

• Experience with Redux or comparable state-management solutions.

• Experience building offline-first mobile applications, including camera, image, and document-capture workflows.

• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and releasing applications through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

• Experience in healthcare, health technology, or another regulated SaaS environment.
