Software Quality Analyst, SaaS Platform

Montrium is looking for a Software Quality Analyst, SaaS Platform to help strengthen the quality, reliability, and release confidence behind our Connect platform for life sciences customers.
In this role, you’ll combine hands-on testing, automation, risk-based thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to understand complex product behaviour, translate requirements and risks into effective test coverage, and help teams deliver dependable SaaS capabilities in a regulated life sciences environment.
What you’ll do
• Design, document, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and supporting test data across functional, regression, integration, exploratory, performance, reliability, and release testing for new and existing product capabilities.
• Build, maintain, and improve automated test suites using Playwright, related scripting approaches, reusable test assets, and CI/CD-integrated testing practices. Use modern productivity and AI-assisted tools, including GitHub Enterprise Copilot and Microsoft 365 AI capabilities, to support test design, automation, documentation, and collaboration.
• Test SaaS platform capabilities involving regulated customer workflows, web applications, APIs, integrations, permissions, data integrity, auditability, and data-driven customer-facing functionality.
• Document defects clearly, reproduce issues reliably, assess quality risks, and collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, Quality, CX, DevOps, and support teams to support defect triage, investigation, resolution, root cause analysis, and practical corrective actions.
• Support release readiness by preparing clear test summaries and communicating progress, coverage, risks, action items, and readiness criteria. Contribute to testing evidence, traceability, controlled change, and practices that help maintain the qualified state of Montrium products.
• Participate early in feature refinement and design to identify edge cases, ambiguous requirements, dependencies, and testability concerns. Help identify recurring quality issues, non-conformances, and opportunities to improve test coverage, testing efficiency, and product quality.
What we’re looking for
• Practical experience with functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and release testing for web-based software products, including test plans, test cases, and supporting test data.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test suites with Playwright, or strong experience with a comparable modern web automation framework.
• Working knowledge of software programming concepts and at least one relevant language, such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python. Experience with scripting or automation approaches is expected; PowerShell or Python is preferred.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, integrations, workflows, and data-driven product behaviour.
• Experience working with cloud environments such as Azure or AWS, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated tests integrated into build, release, or deployment workflows. Interest in designing test strategies for AI-enabled product capabilities is also expected.
• A collaborative, curious, and adaptable working style, with strong communication, time management, ownership, comfort working through ambiguity, and interest in applying quality practices to modern platform capabilities.
• University degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience in software, computer science, information technology, software quality, or a related discipline, with written and spoken fluency in English and French; other languages are an asset.
Nice to have
• Experience with testing tools or frameworks such as Selenium, LoadRunner, Postman, JMeter, or similar solutions.
• Exposure to performance, load, security, accessibility, or reliability testing.
• Familiarity with requirements traceability, validation evidence, change control, GxP, SaaS, pharmaceutical, clinical, or similar product environments.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Redux, or modern front-end application stacks.
• Experience with diagramming, workflow mapping, or test scenario modelling tools such as Lucidchart or Visio.
