ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Central California Asthma Collaborative (CCAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing health equity and environmental justice by empowering Central California communities through services, research, advocacy, and data-driven solutions to reduce the burden of asthma.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clean Air Division Manager (CADM) will work under the supervision of the Clean Air Division Director (CADD) to lead CCAC’s community air protection projects involving local community steering committees (LCSC) and local community emissions reduction plans (LCERP). The goal of the CADM is to establish and maintain LSCSs in select San Joaquin Valley communities and facilitate the development of LCERPs in coordination with LCSCs and other stakeholders. The CADM will be responsible for maintaining and supporting CCAC’s key relationships with a diverse network of partners, by coordinating and facilitating regular meetings with CBOs and other stakeholders. The CADM will also be responsible for tracking and reporting project activities to the CADD and associated funders. The CADM will conduct the duties as described below.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and maintain project management tools to track deliverables, objectives, timelines, and progress of the project and any subcontracted partners based on program-specific criteria.
• Track and document all project activities and deliverables.
• Provide outreach support to project partners (e.g. local CBOs), including hosting training sessions, providing collateral, and conducting regular check-ins (in-person and virtual) at the appropriate cadence to meet project deliverables and goals; gather activity reports and respond promptly to partner and stakeholder inquiries.
• Present project updates and findings to stakeholders and community members;
• Prepare and submit project reports as required by project funder(s).
• Attend community outreach events as needed.
• Delegate and supervise tasks assigned to project interns and/or support staff.
• Maintain knowledge of CARB CAPP activities and outcomes to help inform LCERP development and implementation.
• Communicate with CCAC’s Marketing and Communications staff and other relevant program managers as needed to maximize the impact and visibility of the project.
• All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
• BA, BS degree (Master’s degree preferred).
• At least 3 years of related experience in a community-based organization.
• Bilingual (Spanish and English).
• Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with community members and project partners.
• Experience writing and submitting reports to project funders.
• Experience using various computer software programs- Microsoft Suite, Monday, Canva, etc.
• Experience interacting with a diverse population.
• Experience with all aspects of cultural competency.
• Capable of working independently, cooperatively, and responsibly.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Experience working in environmental justice field preferred.
TRAVEL: Travel across the region to meetings/trainings with partners and stakeholders, or other
purposes as needed.
DRIVING AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid CA Driver’s License and applicable CA mandated auto insurance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May be required to obtain COVID 19 and Flu vaccinations. Lift up to 20 (twenty) pounds.
AUTHORITY AND SUPERVISORY CAPACITY: Will work with Director of Environmental Programs to manage relationships with assigned partners for key climate equity and environmental justice projects and may oversee interns as needed.
ACCESS TO SENSITIVE INFORMATION: Must maintain confidentiality of personal client, staff and partner information exposed to when working in files and preparing reports. $76k-$85K
