We are looking for an experienced machinist to join our team. Ameristar Manufacturing, Inc offers an exceptional compensation plan, many company paid benefits, other benefits, paid holidays, volunteer time pay and more! We have both first and second shift availability and we work 4 days, 10-hour shifts. Oh - and we have a very comfortable air-conditioned plant!
Essential Functions:
• CNC machining operator makes various custom parts from aluminum, steel, and other alloys using fixtures, tools, and processes in place to produce desired parts. Ensure quality of parts produced; makes proper adjustments for equipment settings; takes proper care of all CNC equipment.
• Ensures product produced meets or exceeds customer specifications
• Reviews work orders and follows process specifications to avoid costly errors.
• Select correct program for each job.
• Accurately edit programs to produce good parts.
• Program and setup mills and lathes.
• Load appropriate tooling for each job.
• Keep track of tool wear.
• Follow all safety steps and procedures to ensure safe equipment operation.
• Notify supervisor to resolve process, product, equipment, and production issues.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Any other duties as assigned by management
