Summary

The Shipping Associate ensures that all shipments are completed in accordance to transportation laws and requirements. The person will ensure that the correct material has been shipped accurately.

Responsibilities

The Shipping Associate’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work in collaboration with Customer Service & Warehouse personnel to ensure customer needs are met and that requests or concerns with orders are addressed in a timely manner.

• Pick, pack and ship material to fulfill customer orders.

• Weigh and verify all material being shipped

• Ensure compliance with customer shipping policies and procedures per routing guides.

• Ship international orders and prepare customs paperwork as needed.

• Ship orders using FedEx, UPS, and DHL shipping software.

• Shipping of hazardous material.

• Assist in resolving any discrepancies.

• Assist in customer complaint investigations and processes.

• Perform material cycle counts

• Perform Quality Control checks

• Ensure housekeeping and health and safety standards are maintained.

• Stock warehouse shelves with incoming material

• Maintain organization of the warehouse

Qualifications

The Shipping Associate should possess:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse setting doing shipping and receiving.

• Experience shipping orders using FedEx, UPS, and DHL software.

• Able and willing to take initiative to step up to challenges.

• Ability to work as a team which includes multi-tasking, flexibility and adaptability with coworkers.

• Detailed oriented.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.

• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate clearly in English.

• Strong mathematical skills of addition, subtraction and multiplication.

• Must be able to lift, pull, and manipulate up to 50 Lbs.

• Familiar with preparing orders in a fast-paced environment
