About this role

Description POSITION SUMMARY Provide end-to-end oversight of materials, installation quality, inventory governance, vendor empanelment and performance for renewable energy scheme implementation. The role focuses on compliance with technical and domestic-content requirements, digital asset traceability, physical verification, warranty and SLA monitoring, and vendor performance improvement.

Assignment Programme Management Unit for Renewable Energy Schemes

Deployment Fixed Term Contract(3years), client-site deployment with field travel as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Audit installation quality and compliance with ALMM, DCR and BIS requirements.

• Verify portal registration and tagging of modules, motors, controllers and other scheme assets to strengthen traceability and prevent component swapping.

• Confirm that delivered equipment, pump drives and PV capacities match sanctioned site configurations.

• Reconcile approved supply quantities, material utilisation and physical installations.

• Review Factory Acceptance Test protocols, material test certificates, handling, storage and decentralized warehousing arrangements.

• Review insurance, commissioning and O&M spare-part requirements and monitor availability of mandatory spares.

• Evaluate vendor capabilities and eligibility compliance for empanelment and continued participation.

• Develop KPI scorecards to monitor vendor quality, technical responsiveness, defect rates, timelines, warranty commitments and CMC/SLAs.

• Monitor warranty replacements and require Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures.

• Manage vendor and beneficiary complaint workflows and track issue closure and replacement turnaround.

• Support transparent milestone-linked performance, penalty and payment-clearance inputs within delegated authority.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Production or Industrial Engineering), Business Administration, Commerce or Supply Chain Management with a postgraduate diploma in management; or a Master's degree/2-year postgraduate diploma in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Operations Management, Contract Management, or an MBA.

Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, materials management, warehousing, inventory governance, vendor administration, contract management or supply-chain operations, preferably involving large power or infrastructure projects.

• Work closely with Client, internal PMU colleagues and relevant state, utility, financial, vendor or technology stakeholders.

• Maintain role-specific work plans, action trackers, deliverable calendars and supporting records.

• Produce clear, accurate and decision-ready outputs within agreed timelines and quality standards.

• Handle programme, beneficiary, financial, portal and stakeholder information confidentially and follow approved access and information-security requirements.

• Undertake field travel and support urgent programme reviews when required by the assignment.
