Initially, you will play a key role in implementing our new inventory framework and safety stock methodology across the business. At the same time, you will take ownership of strengthening the integration of inventory into our S&OP and S&OE processes, and support better decision-making across the supply chain, says Head of Global Planning, Jacob Møller Herskind. How you will make an impact As Inventory Specialist in Global Planning, you will be responsible for establishing and driving AFI's inventory capability across our global supply chain. A key part of the role will be to lead the implementation and adoption of a new inventory framework, including safety stock methodologies and governance processes across our warehouse network. At the same time, you will take ownership of inventory performance and become the central point of contact for inventory-related topics within Global Planning. Working closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will ensure inventory decisions support both customer service and working capital objectives while increasing transparency and enabling proactive decision-making across the organization. Your key responsibilities will be to
• Drive the implementation and ongoing development of AFI's inventory management framework across warehouses and product portfolios • Take ownership of inventory policies, safety stock methodologies, inventory parameters, and related governance processes • Monitor and analyze inventory performance, deviations, risks and opportunities to support proactive decision-making and improvement initiatives • Act as the inventory lead in S&OP and S&OE processes, ensuring inventory implications are understood and reflected in planning decisions • Collaborate closely with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams to balance service levels, operational constraints, and working capital targets
• Drive continuous improvements of inventory management processes, systems, and ways of working
• Develop and maintain inventory-related KPIs, reporting, and business performance insights The role sits within AFI's Global Planning organization, reports to the Head of Global Planning, and is based in Aarhus. • Experience within inventory management, supply planning, production planning, materials planning, or related disciplines • Understanding of inventory optimization principles, including safety stock management • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights • Experience working with ERP and planning systems, preferably SAP and/or SAP IBP • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with reporting and analytical tools • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • A structured and detail-oriented mindset combined with a proactive and solution-oriented approach It is considered an advantage if you also have
• Experience implementing new planning, inventory, or supply chain processes • Experience with S&OP and S&OE processes • Knowledge of inventory optimization methodologies and statistical safety stock calculations What do we offer?
