Primary Function/General Purpose of Position The Clinical Research Phlebotomist supports clinical trial operations by performing phlebotomy, specimen management, lab kit inventory, and core lab result reporting in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of collected data while providing a safe, professional, and patient-centered experience for research participants. The position works closely with research staff to support study execution, maintain documentation, and uphold Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards. The Clinical Research Phlebotomist also plays a key role in participant engagement, helping to create a comfortable and supportive environment throughout the research process. Essential Job Functions
• Perform venipuncture and blood collection in accordance with study protocols • Process, label, store, and ship biological specimens per protocol requirements • Order and maintain study lab kits as required by research sponsors • Obtain and disseminate core lab results and file in eRegulatory binder once oversight documentation obtained as appropriate • Ensure strict adherence to study protocols, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines • Accurately document clinical data in electronic and paper systems • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, GCP, and applicable regulatory standards • Support informed consent process by explaining procedures to participants • Provide patient-centered care, adapting approach to diverse participant needs • Collaborate with research staff to ensure efficient study operations • Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean, organized clinical environment

Licensing/Certification Current Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) required 1–3 years of experience in a clinical or research setting preferred Experience with pediatric or specialized populations preferred
