Mechanical Project Engineer / Project Manager Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead the design and execution of complex building system projects across a diverse portfolio that includes Education, Mission-Critical/Data Center, Retail, Federal, and Commercial facilities. Key Responsibilities
• Lead mechanical design efforts for HVAC, plumbing, and MEP systems on a variety of commercial building projects. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved. • Oversee project teams and coordinate work among engineers, designers, and technical staff. • Develop and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers. • Review designs for compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements. • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines throughout project delivery. • Support design-build and consulting engagements from planning through construction. Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in the mechanical engineering industry. • 5+ years of experience within the construction industry. • Strong background in HVAC and mechanical system design. • Proficiency with Revit and working knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam. • Experience managing project teams and leading engineering projects. • Knowledge of commercial building design, building codes, and construction processes. • Experience working on educational, retail, commercial, federal, mission-critical, or data center projects. Preferred Qualifications
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required. • PMP certification is a plus. • 3+ years of business development experience within consulting engineering or construction environments. • Experience developing client relationships and supporting revenue growth. • Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
