Engineer in Interaction Design with Game Engine knowledge Autoliv is the worldwide leader in automotive safety systems. We develop, manufacture and market protective solutions such as airbags, seatbelts, and steering wheels for all major automotive manufacturers worldwide, along with advanced safety solutions for new mobility. To strengthen our capabilities within airbag development, we are looking for a Simulation Engineer with Game Engine Expertise to join our team in Vårgårda. About the Role As a Simulation Engineer, you will be part of our airbag folding team, applying knowledge from the gaming industry, in particular physics solvers, to enhance airbag folding technology within Autoliv. The role also supports projects related to data science and advanced simulation. The work includes developing folding technology that mimics physical folding machines (a digital twin) and reducing the time required to simulate the folding of an airbag. You will collaborate primarily with colleagues in Sweden, India and Germany, and contribute to Swedish government-funded projects. Responsibilities Act as the main development engineer within the airbag folding team Apply game engine technology and physics solvers to airbag folding simulations Evaluate and utilize software developed for the gaming and fashion industries Adapt gaming software to make it user-friendly for internal use within Autoliv Support the development of digital twin technology for airbag folding Contribute to data science-related activities and Swedish government-funded projects

Qualifications Required M.Sc. in Interaction Design or a related engineering discipline Industry experience in game development Knowledge of gaming software and physics solvers Professional proficiency in English Familiarity within the airbag industry and Finite Element Method

Meritorious Experience with physics-based simulation or numerical modelling Experience with digital twin technology or data science Experience within AI and ML
