Assignment Description We are looking for an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer / PLC Engineer to support production automation within a highly automated heavy-vehicle manufacturing environment in Södertälje. The role focuses on PLC programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, system modifications and production automation improvements. You will work closely with production teams and experienced automation specialists on ongoing development, rebuild and improvement projects. The customer primarily uses Siemens automation systems, while experience with other PLC platforms is also relevant. Experience with ABB or KUKA robotics is highly beneficial. What You Will Work On Develop and modify PLC programs for production automation systems Troubleshoot automation and control-system issues Support commissioning and production start-up activities Modify and improve existing automation systems Support production development, rebuild and improvement projects Work closely with machines, production systems and technical teams Analyse and resolve technical problems in production Support production-related IT and automation systems Collaborate with automation specialists and production stakeholders Contribute to reliable and robust automation solutions Support robot programming when required, particularly ABB or KUKA
What You Bring Experience in industrial automation Hands-on experience with PLC programming Experience from manufacturing or production environments Experience with Siemens PLC/automation systems is highly relevant Experience with troubleshooting and technical problem-solving Experience with commissioning or production support Experience modifying and improving automation systems Comfortable working hands-on with machines and production equipment Structured, curious and solution-oriented approach Good collaboration and communication skills
