The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. has an opening for a Full-Time Senior Accountant position. This hybrid opportunity is available at our offices in Maumee , Cleveland , Toledo , or Columbus , OH, as well as Canton , MI. We are looking for an individual who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, pro-active, has good organizational and time management skills. Oversee and backup to maintain and process (as needed) bi-weekly multi-state payroll. Keep employee payroll records up-to-date Create and post payroll journals entries to the general ledge. Work with HR to audit benefit withholdings against provider invoice. Help investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies. Ensure compliance of timesheets with employee handbook Ensure tax compliance with various states and local municipalities Verify funding of 401k contributions and calculate employer 401k match contribution Month and year end account reconciliations and schedules Preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports Assist with overflow work from accounts payable clerk Work to identify and implement efficiencies throughout the department Work closely with CFO and Controller on special projects and department improvement initiatives
