About this role
The PowerApps/Power Platform Architect supports the design, development, and implementation of secure, scalable Microsoft Power Platform solutions for federal government customers. This role works closely with program leadership, technical teams, and customer stakeholders to translate mission and business requirements into compliant, user-centric applications. The position is hands-on, balancing solution architecture, technical leadership, and direct development support within regulated federal environments. Design and implement solutions using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI Translate federal business and mission requirements into technical solution designs, data models, and architecture artifacts Support integrations with Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Azure services, and external systems using APIs and connectors Develop and review technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and design deliverables required for federal programs Provide technical guidance and oversight to developers, ensuring adherence to Power Platform best practices and performance standards Participate in hands-on development, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Power Platform solutions Support environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod), solution packaging, and structured deployment processes Implement role-based security, data access controls, and data loss prevention policies Ensure solutions align with federal security, compliance, and governance requirements (e.g., NIST, FISMA, agency standards) Support Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and stakeholder reviews Collaborate with program managers, business analysts, and government stakeholders to prioritize enhancements and manage technical risks
