About the team The Executive Support Team plays a pivotal role at the centre of the Finance and Transformation & Technology Services directorates. We provide high-quality operational, governance and business support that helps both directorates deliver their strategic objectives and organisational priorities. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen business management capacity and improve operational performance across two busy and complex directorates. As part of a small, collaborative and high-performing team, you will work closely with senior leaders, becoming a trusted adviser and supporting key business activities while helping to ensure directorate priorities are delivered effectively. Your role and impact As an Executive Business Manager, you’ll help ensure that key governance, operational and strategic activities are delivered effectively across the Finance and Transformation & Technology Services directorates. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, managing a varied portfolio of governance, performance and operational activities that support decision making, drive directorate priorities and improve directorate effectiveness. In this role, you will: Lead and coordinate governance submissions, ensuring high-quality papers and reports are delivered on time. Review, quality assure and improve reports, briefing papers, presentations and other business documentation. Support performance reporting, KPI monitoring and the tracking of directorate priorities and implementation of corporate initiatives. Maintain oversight of actions, risks and key deliverables, ensuring progress is monitored and reported effectively. Build effective relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders, providing coordination, support and constructive challenge where appropriate. Support business planning, directorate communications, leadership briefings and engagement activities. Contribute to operational, strategic and transformation projects, helping to coordinate activity and drive successful outcomes. Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing processes, helping the team to be efficient and impactful. What you will bring We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organised and motivated by helping senior leaders and teams deliver their priorities effectively. You may already have experience in business management, governance, executive support, operations, project management, business planning, programme support or another role that requires strong coordination, stakeholder management and organisational skills. You’ll bring: Experience coordinating complex activities, governance processes, projects or operational priorities across multiple stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills and a methodical approach to managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce, review and improve reports, briefing papers, presentations and other business documentation. The ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Confidence to provide constructive challenge, influence outcomes and support effective decision making. A proactive mindset, with the ability to horizon scan, identify issues and solve problems. A collaborative approach, curiosity to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality delivery.
