About this role
The Purchasing Manager directs the hotel’s procurement operations, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and sourcing high-quality materials to minimize supply costs while upholding luxury brand standards and establishing supply-chain infrastructure prior to launch. Pre-Opening Procurement Setup: Establish supplier networks, negotiate preferred vendor contracts, configure procurement/inventory software (e.g., Material Control, FBM), and execute OS&E (Operating Supplies & Equipment) and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) purchasing critical-path schedules before launch. Sourcing & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage reliable vendors; negotiate competitive pricing, terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) without compromising quality. Inventory & Cost Control: Oversee receiving, store operations, and stock management to streamline inventory turnover, minimize waste, and maintain optimal par levels. Compliance & Policy Enforcement: Enforce purchasing policies, internal financial controls, corporate sustainability guidelines, and local health/safety regulations across all operational departments. Cross-Departmental Support: Work closely with Culinary, Housekeeping, and Engineering teams to manage routine operational purchases, capital expenditure orders, and emergency requests efficient.
