Brookhaven Animal Hospital is looking for a reliable and compassionate Part-Time Kennel Assistant to join our veterinary team. This is a hands-on animal care position supporting the daily needs of boarding and hospitalized dogs and cats while helping maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable veterinary hospital. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals and is interested in gaining experience in veterinary medicine, animal care, kennel care, or veterinary hospital operations . Provide daily care for boarding and hospitalized pets , including feeding and watering Walk, bathe, and provide enrichment for dogs and cats Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or overall condition and report concerns to the veterinary team Maintain clean and sanitized kennels, cages, runs, and hospital areas Assist with basic animal handling and restraint when supporting the veterinary team Complete laundry, dishes, stocking, and other daily hospital cleaning tasks Help maintain a safe, organized, and comfortable environment for patients Interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner when needed
