Department: IT Location: Dublin (hybrid) Reports to: Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Manager Contract Type: Daily Rate Contractor (circa 6 month) Background : Arthur Cox is at the forefront of technology adoption that drive value within the firm, its client's business, and the wider legal industry. IT operations play a central role, connecting digital capabilities to the firm’s objectives and creating a solid foundation for continued success. About the Role: The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting, maintaining and enhancing the firm's technology infrastructure. This includes on-premises infrastructure, Microsoft 365 services, cloud platforms, networking, storage, virtualization and core compute environments. You will work collaboratively across multidisciplinary IT teams including cloud, security, service desk, and applications to deliver stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure services while supporting ongoing transformation and modernization initiatives The role also requires effective collaboration with third-party service providers and technology partners to ensure the smooth operation of business-critical systems and services. Infrastructure Management & Operations Maintain, configure, and support on‑prem and cloud‑based infrastructure including Cloud, servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and core network. Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; implement improvements to ensure reliability and resilience. Perform regular patching, updates, and configuration changes in line with change management processes. Troubleshoot complex technical issues and serve as an escalation for Tier 1 and 2 teams. Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate repairs or replacements where required. Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Cloud Services Support, administer and optimise Microsoft Azure infrastructure and platform services. Manage Azure resources including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, security controls and identity services. Support cloud security initiatives using Microsoft Defender, Azure Security Center, Conditional Access, and Zero Trust principles. Assist with cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation and Azure adoption initiatives. Support Azure Landing Zone standards, subscriptions, and RBAC Microsoft 365 & Modern Workplace Services Administer, Support and optimise M365 services including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online and OneDrive and other related cloud services. Administer Entra ID, Conditional Access policies, MFA, and device compliance. Monitor M365 service health and resolve issues (Tier 2 support). Support endpoint management and modern workplace initiatives through Microsoft Intune. Incident, Problem & Change Management Manage and resolve incidents within defined SLAs, ensuring high-quality updates and communication. Follow ITIL-driven processes for change, problem, and service performance management. Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement activities. Security & Compliance Implement and maintain security controls across infrastructure components in partnership with the security operations team. Remediate vulnerabilities, apply patches, and support Zero Trust principles where applicable. Ensure compliance with organisational, regulatory, and security standards Project Delivery & Continuous Improvement Support the delivery of infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations. Contribute to infrastructure modernisation initiatives, including cloud adoption/migration Identify opportunities for automation, optimisation, and simplification. Develop and maintain technical documentation, support guidelines, and runbooks.
