Main duties of the job As a Theatre Manager, you will:
Leading and inspiring our Theatre, Cath Lab and Endoscopy teams
Championing safe, effective and consistently high quality patient care
Building strong, influential relationships with consultants, senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams
Developing, motivating and supporting staff to achieve outstanding clinical outcomes
Managing budgets, business planning and clinical governance with confidence
Collaborating across departments to deliver exceptional patient experiences
Driving continuous improvement and building on our CQC rating of Good overall with Outstanding in care
About us Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital
The Exeter Nuffield hospital is based next to the RD&E hospital in Wonford, Exeter. The hospital has 2 theatres, as well as a hybrid cardiac catheter laboratory/theatre and an Endoscopy suite. There are two ward areas: an inpatient area with 21 beds and a day-case ward with 12 beds. We also have a busy outpatient department, pharmacy, physiotherapy, and radiology department including an MRI scanner. We specialise in elective orthopaedic and spinal surgery, cardiology including invasive procedures, general surgery, plastics and cosmetic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology. The Hospital has a MAKO robot that undertakes some of the joint replacement surgery which we have become well known for in this field of surgery.

As a Theatre Manager at our Exeter Hospital, you'll bring a nursing/practitioner qualification, specialist training and impressive senior-level experience in a clinical setting. Ideally, your wide-ranging skills will include teaching and assessment, as well as ILS/ALS. A professional management qualification would also be an advantage.
Core hours are Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work and participation in the management on-call rota to ensure operational and clinical leadership support.
