An exciting opportunity has become available for a Housekeeper on ward 111
As a housekeeper, you will lead ward services such as catering, cleaning, equipment and supplies. The work includes: talking to patients, ordering non-clinical supplies, ensuring the ward is clean and tidy. You will assist in the smooth running of the ward by promoting a clean and healthy environment and be responsible for ensuring adequate stocks of consumables are maintained to meet service requirements and that all equipment within the department is clean and in good working order.
You will be highly motivated to help maintain our high standards in caring, and you will be valued and appreciated for the contribution you give to our team. You will work closely with the management team on ward 111.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the environment and catering services meet the needs and expectations of Patients, Visitors and the Ward team. The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team and will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities and services in the ward area and ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance services, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the Ward Sister. The post holder will monitor quality standards, reporting deficiencies and recommending appropriate changes.

Ensuring cleanliness of the ward area and ensure all cleaning documentation is in place and up to date. Ensure ward has adequate stock to ensure the smooth delivery of care for our patients. Ensure the clinical area is tidy and clutter free. Ensure patient's bedspaces are clean and clutter free. Complete menus, liaise with patient's and offer meal choices. Participate in food delivery at each mealtime. participate in audits with the senior team as per infection control policies and CEF inspection
