About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) to join the EMHP Training Programme team within the GMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre (PTTC).

This role involves supporting the training and development of future cohorts of EMHPs. As an Associate Lecturer / Tutor, you will contribute to teaching, marking, tutorials and trainee support.

The role is suited to a practitioner with enthusiasm for workforce development and professional education. Full induction and training will be provided, and many activities are undertaken jointly with experienced members of the programme team. You will work within a supportive and collaborative team with regular supervision and guidance.

The PTTC was established in 2000 in partnership with the University of Manchester to deliver postgraduate training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Since then, the Centre has expanded significantly and now delivers more than 20 training programmes across a broad range of evidence-based psychological therapies, primarily at postgraduate level.

Main duties of the job

To provide teaching, tutorials and other support for trainees undertaking the EMHP & CYWP postgraduate training programme. To assist in the delivery, development and evaluation of the EMHP & CYWP training programmes.

Educated to degree level Qualified EMHP

Desirable

Qualified Low Intensity Supervisor Qualification in Teaching

Experience Essential

Substantial experience as a qualified EMHP
