About this role

Job summary

Camden is the only NCL borough without a community gynaecology service or integrated womens health hub. UCLH and CHP are launching a backlog initiative for Camden women on UCLHs gynaecology waiting list >18 weeks. Initially focused on these patients, we expect the service will expand to accept new community referrals.

Main duties of the job

From an experienced GPwER in gynaecology to be the Clinical Lead for the service and also undertake GPwER sessions. Experience as a clinical lead is essential but not necessarily in a womens health clinic, although desirable. The role offers up to two sessions a week, one session as Clinical Lead and one session as a GPwER. The remuneration for a clinical lead session is £15,500 pa and £12,500 pa (based on 46 weeks per annum). From experienced GPwERs in gynaecology to provide one session a week in the first instance. Individuals are likely to have recent experience as a womens health lead in a practice or in a community gynaecology service. We are particularly looking for experience in non contraceptive IUS/coil fitting and menopause management.

About us

CHP is a limited company with 23 member practices drawn from seven Primary Care Networks in Camden.

We are overseen by a Board made up of three appointed directors and up to four elected clinical members from our member practices. CHP was formerly known as Haverstock Healthcare which was formed in 2008 by general practices in Camden to provide an organisation of sufficient size to bid for local NHS services. In December 2020, the company name was changed to Camden Health Partners to reflect its vision and values of working in collaboration with Camden practices and primary care networks, NHS Trusts, Camden Council, and the voluntary sector in Camden.
