Job summary
At present, University Hospitals of North Midlands is unable to offer visa sponsorship for Band 2 to Band 4 roles, as these positions do not meet the minimum salary and skill thresholds required under UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.
In relation to Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker roles, we are currently able to recruit successfully from the domestic labour market and have a sufficient pool of suitably qualified and appointable candidates. As a result, visa sponsorship is not available for this role at this time. This position is kept under regular review and may change in the future should labour market conditions or service requirements alter.
Important information for applicants: To ensure clarity of accountability, scope of practice and professional responsibilities, the Trust does not normally appoint individuals holding active NMC or HCPC registration into Band 2 Clinical/AHP Support Worker, Band 3 Senior Clinical/AHP Support Worker or Band 4 AHP Support Worker/Technician roles. Main duties of the job
We are looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic Senior Clinical Support workers to join our dynamic and friendly teams and provide safe and supportive care to patients, relatives and their loved ones. In this post you would be responsible for providing fundamental elements of patient care as directed by the qualified nursing/midwifery team to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of dignified and respectful care, in accordance with their care plans. We are looking for people who are compassionate and feel passionately about providing a level of care they would wish for their family and friends.
The successful applicants will be based at Royal Stoke University Hospital . As provision of care is a 24 hours, 7 days a week career, you will be required to work shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Essential Qualifications Essential
PASS UHNM Maths & English condensed test at interview to show evidence of good Literacy and Numeracy level. Maths & English at Level 1 (GCSE Grade 2-3, D-F or equivalent) For overseas qualifications they must have an ECCTIS statement showing UK comparability. We do accept the following in replacement of Level 1 English qualification ONLY if they meet the following grades and results were issued within the last 2 years. Accepted Grades for English replacement: IELTS (6 overall grade), OET (C overall), CEFR (B2/C1/C2). Care Certificate or must complete within 12 weeks of commencing employment NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Care/Equivalent qualification or willing/required to complete if successful (If applicant has 3 years or more care experience this is voluntary).
