We are seeking a friendly and organised person to join our team at Lensfield Medical Practice in Cambridge. In this role, you will ensure a welcoming environment while supporting administrative functions essential to our healthcare services.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, patient registration, booking appointments, processing of information (electronic and hard copy) and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

Located in central Cambridge Lensfield Medical Practice is a friendly and welcoming surgery looking after around 15000 patients.
We have a multi-disciplinary team comprising of GP's, Nurses, HCA's GP Registrars, Pharmacy Team, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Paramedic.
Our clinical teams are supported by our Patient Services Team and Administrators.

The patient service role will provide a professional, efficient, and patient-focused service. Responsibilities include welcoming and assisting patients and visitors, managing appointments, responding to Accurx enquiries, processing repeat prescriptions, and providing general administrative support to the practice. The role will involve working closely with GPs, nurses, and the wider healthcare team, while maintaining confidentiality and complying with GDPR and practice procedures.

Experience Essential
GCSE grade A to C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Qualifications Essential
Experience of working with the general public Strong IT skills Good organisational and multitasking abilities Good communication skills and professional etiquette
Desirable
Experience of working in the NHS or a GP practice Experience of working with dealing with vulnerable people
