As an experienced Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) at York Hospital, you will be registered with the appropriate professional governing body (NMC or HCPC) and possess the relevant qualifications, skills, and post-registration experience. You are passionate about delivering high standards of patient care, have exceptional attention to detail, and consistently demonstrate professionalism within the operating theatre environment. You are a motivated, flexible, and reliable team player who thrives in a fast-paced surgical setting and is committed to supporting excellent patient outcomes.

Current surgical specialities include:

Orthopaedics

General Surgery

Gynaecology

Laparoscopic Surgery

ENT

Urology

Ophthalmology

Pain Management

Spinal Surgery

Maxillofacial Surgery

Breast Surgery

A Surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification is desirable but not essential. Candidates who do not currently hold this qualification may have the opportunity to undertake SFA training in partnership with De Montfort University.

Qualifications Essential
