Job summary
We are seeking a GP to work 6 to 8 sessions per week, although we are happy to discuss individual working arrangements with the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
A General Practitioner providing comprehensive, person-centred medical care to patients of all ages. The role includes assessing and diagnosing a wide range of physical and mental health conditions, providing treatment and ongoing management, prescribing medication, arranging investigations and referrals, and supporting patients with preventative healthcare and health promotion.
You will also work closely with other healthcare professionals and contribute to the wider clinical and operational development of the practice, including safeguarding, clinical governance, quality improvement and multidisciplinary working.

We are an established GP practice serving patients in Folkestone, Kent, with a committed clinical and administrative team. We place a strong emphasis on providing high-quality patient care while supporting our clinicians to work effectively within a modern primary care environment.
Our practice operates a total triage model allowing clinical workload to be managed appropriately and ensuring patients are directed to the most suitable member of the clinical team. We work closely with our wider primary care network and have access to a range of additional clinical roles and services.
The practice has an experienced and supportive GP team, alongside a multidisciplinary workforce, and we are committed to developing our services and ways of working. The practice is also a GP training practice providing development to Doctors wishing to become GPs and we are looking to expand this in the future.

The successful applicant will:
Provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services. Work collaboratively with our existing GP and multidisciplinary team. Participate in the practice's total triage system, including regular triage GP sessions. Contribute to clinical meetings, significant event reviews, audits and practice development. Support the continued development of our clinical services. Participate in the practice's shared responsibility for safeguarding, prescribing, quality improvement and other areas of clinical governance. Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
GMC registered and on the NHS England Performers List. An experienced and committed clinician. Passionate about delivering high-quality general practice. A good communicator and team player. Comfortable working within a modern primary care model.
Desirable
We are intested in any additional qualifications applicants may possess that could be developed into additional service provided by the practice.
