Support Staff-Substitute-Food Service Assistant (Narcoossee Area)
Job description: On call, as needed at schools in the Narcoossee Area.
Duties may include food preparation, serving meals, dishwashing, cleaning, and other cafeteria-related tasks as assigned. Cashiering responsibilities may also be assigned upon successful completion of the required training.
You will utilize the online system, Frontline, to select the days and shifts you wish to work.
Daily availability is not required; however, substitutes must accept assignments on a regular basis to maintain active status. Individuals who remain inactive for 30 days or more may be removed from the substitute system.
Required qualifications, skills and experience: High School Diploma or GED
Ability to take oral and written instructions and follow through efficiently and to work well with others.
Some experience and knowledge of quantity food preparation and use of equipment used in quantity food preparation.
Must be willing and able to:
-Lift and carry items or objects weighing up to 50 pounds and up to 55 pounds with assistance
-Withstand a wide range of temperatures (hot, non-air-conditioned environment and freezer)
-Stand for longs periods of time
-Use cleaning chemicals
-Operate commercial kitchen equipment
-Part-time (3.75 hours/day)
-On call, as needed basis
-Required to work at various schools within the area
-Schedules will vary
