Job Description: SI NA Quality Manager- Decatur, IL This is an Exempt level position.
Job Summary: The Specialty Ingredients (SI) NA Quality Manager is responsible for supporting SI NA in quality, food safety, verification of conformance to regulatory requirements.
This position reports to the SI NA Regional Quality Manager for ADM.
Essential Job Functions: • Provides leadership, support and guidance to ensure that Food Safety/Quality requirements are met in the North American SI locations. • Provide SI Quality and Food Safety support for lecithin and polyol manufacturing sites and drive improvements. • Work with relevant stakeholders to lead Change Management Process to ensure the effective implementation of new or updated processes and procedures. • Lead by example and promote a culture of quality. • Develops, implements, and facilitates Quality and Food Safety training, as needed. • Maintain the Quality/Training Food Safety Schedule for SI and ensure all NA locations are in compliance. • Monitors metrics that support Quality and Food Safety. • Manages, plans, implements and continuously improves the written Food Safety/Quality programs and procedures. • Ensure that the processes and systems are adequate to implement, achieve and maintain 3rd Party certifications (i.e., BRC, Gluten Free, Certified Organic) and Regulatory Agency (FDA, CFIA) compliance. • Establish and maintain standard work templates and training matrices for SI division. • Provide support for information technology systems, such as PolicyTech and eQMS, in North America. • Coordinate requests submitted to the SI division for external projects. • Excellent communication, problem solving and good decision making skills are required. Job Qualifications: • Preferred 4 year degree or equivalent 7 years Food Safety experience in a Food Manufacturing environment and PCQI trained. • Working knowledge of document management, COPQ, spreadsheets, and Excel. • Preferred knowledge of Power BI reporting. • Knowledge of applicable food regulations and requirements • Ability to make decisions based on information and data available. • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and be a team player. Must be able to interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, and regulatory officials, as needed. • Must be organized, possess time management skills and be able to meet deadlines. • Demonstrate experience of effective leadership. : Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
