Job Description: BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Project Analyst to contribute to our systems integration work on a U.S. Navy, DDG 51 Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer program. This position supports a complex, fast paced project. It is co-led by a Project Manager that is part of a larger portfolio. Responsibilities include helping to facilitate project execution by coordinating and sharing information both within the project and across the portfolio, including drafting reports and presentations. The role requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills who can analyze data, interpret trends, draw meaningful conclusions, and work collaboratively with peers, leadership, and customers. Additional responsibilities include: TDL Financial and Performance Analysis: Independently monitors TDL funding, budgets, actual cost, forecast, and performance. Identifies variances and recommends corrective action. Production Scheduling and Status: Develops and maintains integrated schedules and status for assembly, test, and verification activities across multiple shipsets and priorities. Monitors progress against the project plan, identifying potential deviations and risks. Dashboards and Management Reporting: Develops dashboards, metrics, forecast, and recurring reports that provide management visibility into cost, schedule, staffing, and production performance. Cross Functional Coordination: Coordinates input and resolves issues across operations, program management, engineering, finance, and supply chain. Facilitates project meetings, captures notes, and documents action items. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables deadlines are met. Effectively communicates project status updates to stakeholders. Risk Analysis and Process Improvement: Analyzes performance date to identify risks, trends, and process gaps; develops and implements improvements to planning, tracking, and reporting methods and develops mitigation strategies.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
Required Skills and Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management / Finance and at least 4 years of related experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Access, Project, and Excel
Knowledge of project controls, financial analysis, scheduling, and reporting practices to support production execution and TDL performance
Ability to analyze complex situation to resolve issues and recommend corrective action
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicates performance issues and coordinate actions across operations, finance, engineering, supply chain, and program management
Preferred Skills and Education: Masters in Business Management
