Job Description: BAE Systems is seeking an After Hours* System Administrator to support our work as a prime contractor on a high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system. Accuracy, integrity, and the ability to work well independently and with others are important traits we expect the successful candidate to possess and demonstrate. This role is full-time on-site at the Washington Navy Yard.

* The first four–six months in this position you will be expected to work a shift beginning at 11:00 am for on-the-job training. Once it is confirmed you know your role, you will move to After Hours support. Contractual After-Hours support specifies 1500–2300. Allowing for an unpaid 30minute meal break, realistic time in the office would be 1430–2300.

This position is responsible for providing Tier-2 support to the United Kingdom and Backup services. The ideal candidate must possess a commitment to exceptional customer service and teamwork. You will manage Backup exec software and other functions according to policies and procedures; provide Tier-2 level support to the United Kingdom (UK) services; perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common hardware and / or software related issues to include all services used by the United Kingdom; and assist in the creation of processes and procedures for IT operations backup service area. This role contributes to the planning, implementation, and completion of multiple projects and tasks; manages the configuration, maintenance and deployment of all Backup Servers; and communicates progress, status, completion timelines and requirements to team members and leadership. You will also be expected to learn new tools and technologies.

Required Skills and Education: BAE has found that success in this position requires: • A High School Diploma and four (4) years work experience • A DoD 8570 specified IAT II certification • OR a SECNAV Qualifying Degree AND obtain a DoD 8570 specified IAT II certification within 6 months of start

• Ability to obtain and maintain a common Access Card (CAC), badge access to the customer's facility, and a network account in good standing on the customer's network. • Excellent problem-solving abilities • Ability to effectively troubleshoot issues with Windows Server, Active Directory, and other IT systems • Experience with Windows Servers • Experience configuring Windows Printers • Active Directory knowledge • VMWare knowledge • Experience with DISA STIGs • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and government officials

Preferred Skills and Education: • Experience with Backup Exec Software • Blackberry Software Management • Web Server Troubleshooting
