What You'll Do – Industrial Maintenance Mechanic As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will help maintain the performance, reliability, and safety of high-speed metal can manufacturing lines and related production equipment. Your mechanical skills will help ensure efficient production and consistent product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, service, maintain, overhaul, and monitor high-speed can manufacturing equipment and associated industrial machinery. Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on production equipment during manufacturing operations. Troubleshoot mechanical systems, identify equipment issues, and perform repairs or modifications to minimize downtime. Complete preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections to improve machinery reliability and extend equipment life. Inspect equipment, document findings, and address mechanical or operational issues according to established procedures. Perform quality checks and use precision measuring instruments to maintain equipment tolerances as tight as 0.0010 inch, where required. Support the production of high-quality, single-piece metal cans by maintaining equipment performance and production standards. Collaborate with maintenance personnel, production operators, and management to improve equipment reliability, workplace safety, product quality, and productivity. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives designed to reduce downtime, control costs, and improve manufacturing efficiency. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills. Experience working with machinery, automobiles, farm equipment, industrial equipment, or other mechanical systems. Ability and willingness to learn the operation, maintenance, and repair of high-speed manufacturing equipment. A positive, dependable, can-do attitude with a strong commitment to safety and quality. Willingness to perform and document equipment inspections, quality checks, and precision measurements. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Preferred Experience:
Industrial maintenance or mechanical maintenance experience. Manufacturing, production, or factory experience. Mechanical troubleshooting, equipment repair, or preventive maintenance experience. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Experience maintaining high-speed production machinery or automated manufacturing equipment.
