We are looking for a Business Technology Solutions (BTS) Director for Germany to act as the strategic technology partner for the Commercial General Manager and the Affiliate Management Team. In this role, you will lead the local BTS enterprise in Wiesbaden, ensure technology investments support business priorities, and help shape the affiliate’s digital and data roadmap.
This is a high-impact leadership position with broad responsibility across business, technology, operations, and people leadership. You will help connect local business needs with AbbVie’s global technology strategy, ensure compliant and secure solutions, and drive measurable value across the affiliate.

Partner with senior business leaders to translate strategy into technology prioritiesLead the local BTS organization and act as a key member of the management teamShape and manage the affiliate technology roadmap, portfolio, and investmentsEnsure reliable, secure, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of BTS capabilitiesDrive digital transformation and support the adoption of enterprise solutionsBuild strong stakeholder relationships and influence effectively across a matrix organizationLead and develop the local BTS team, with a focus on capability, accountability, and growthContribute to ongoing organizational change and help the business adapt with agility What you bring
In-depth experience in business, IT and/ or digital transformationStrong leadership experience, ideally in complex, matrixed and cross-functional environmentsExceptional analytical as well as problem-solving skills, combined with a pragmatic, delivery-oriented mindset and the proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority Strong business understanding and the ability to connect strategy, operations, risk management and technology-enabled business processes to deliver measurable valueExperience in transformation, organizational change, and stakeholder managementExcellent communication skills as well as the ability to tell a compelling business story and communicate complex technology topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesInternational experience, including collaboration with global teams and stakeholders across different countries and culturesA mobility mindset, with willingness to travel internationally as neededWhat success looks like
