We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrate a high degree of initiative, and have a solid background in accounting and finance. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:Oversee the accounting process ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP,Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP or relevant accounting standardsSupport internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and responsesSupport indirect tax compliance; prepare and review indirect tax reconciliation and indirect tax returnsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including Treasury, Tax, FP&A, AP, and Billing, to support efficient processes and alignment on financial objectivesEnsure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, staying current with changes in regulations and legislationAct as a mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development within the teamAssist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required by senior managementSupport month-end close activities, with availability required during the first five working days of each month from 12 p.m. to 9:00 (EEST) - to align with business and reporting deadlinesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reportingProven experience in a similar role within the financial services or technology industry is a plusAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Oracle)Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial dataExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levelsStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt to changes quickly and handle multiple responsibilities with meticulous attention to detail#LI-CB1
