Work you'll do
As a Deloitte Tax Manager supporting our Individual Tax Services - High Net Worth group, you will:
Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for high-net-worth individuals and their advisors.Lead tax compliance and advisory engagements involving complex individual income tax matters.Review individual tax returns and related deliverables, identify issues, and coordinate with specialists when needed.Build strong client relationships through clear, thoughtful communication and responsive service.Translate complex tax matters into practical recommendations for clients and their advisors.Lead and develop tax professionals by providing coaching, reviewing work, and coordinating assignments across multiple deadlines.Manage engagement timelines, priorities, resources, and budgets to support high-quality client outcomes.Collaborate with engagement leaders and other tax professionals to resolve issues, manage risks, and deliver a consistent client experience. Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other relevant degree5+ years of experience in individual tax compliance and planning, with exposure to high-net-worth individuals and giftsStrong technical knowledge of high-net-worth taxation, including experience reviewing complex individual and gift tax returnsDemonstrated ability to serve as a trusted client advisor, communicate complex tax matters clearly, and build relationships with high-net-worth clients and their advisorsExperience leading the delivery of complex tax engagements, including coordinating teams, managing competing deadlines, reviewing work, and maintaining high-quality client outcomesAbility to travel up to 5%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveLimited immigration sponsorship may be availableOne of the following active accreditations obtained:Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPAIf not CPA eligible:Licensed AttorneyEnrolled Agent Preferred
Master's degree or equivalent in a related field.Experience serving high-net-worth individuals or private clients.Strong client communication and relationship-management skills.Experience leading, coaching, and developing tax professionals.Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CCH tax technology or workflow tools is a plus. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105,375 to $215,375.
