Technical Sustainability Specialist – North America Description -
This Technical Sustainability Specialist will lead sustainability-driven customer engagement across North America Enterprise Channel and Retail Accounts, with a focus on translating HP’s sustainability strategy into tangible business outcomes for customers.
The role sits at the intersection of sales, partnerships, and sustainability, acting as a strategic advisor to customers while enabling account teams to embed sustainability into commercial conversations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Sales Engagement (Consultative / Account-Facing)
• Lead sustainability engagement across top North America Channel and Retail accounts customers. • Partner closely with account teams, sales leaders, and category leads to shape customer strategy and unlock new opportunities. • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on sustainability priorities (e.g., climate, circularity, nature, reporting) • Represent HP sustainability in customer meetings, partner engagements, and industry events
Sales Support & Deal Enablement
• Support strategic RFPs, RFIs, and major deals with sustainability expertise • Act as the subject matter expert on sustainability requirements and customer expectations • Provide escalation support for complex customer sustainability queries • Review and strengthen sustainability messaging in proposals and sales materials
Go-to-Market & Strategy Execution
• Support development and execution of sustainability go-to-market strategies • Provide market insights and customer feedback to shape offerings, solutions, and campaigns • Contribute to sustainability-led campaigns, customer success stories, and regional initiatives • Act as a regional sustainability expert supporting internal stakeholders and leadership
Sales Enablement & Capability Building
• Develop and deliver sales training and enablement programs • Build and support a network of sustainability champions across sales teams • Identify capability gaps and drive training programs to upskill account teams • Define engagement models and SLAs with commercial teams
Cross-Regional & Global Collaboration
• Represent North America market in global sustainability workstreams • Contribute to development of new sustainability solutions and tools • Share best practices and insights across regions • Support reporting, metrics, and executive updates
Education and Experience • Four-year &/or graduate degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or other technical related fields or commensurate work experience.
Typically has 5-7+ years of work experience, preferably in communications, technical sales, account management or a related fields.

Compensation and Benefits: The pay range for this role is $83,000.00 - $120,350.00 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
