Plans, schedules and coordinates the daily assignments of the electrical shop under the direction of the Facilities Manager. Maintains, troubleshoots and installs electrical equipment according to code.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Schedules, coordinates and performs preventative maintenance on all electrical systems including fire alarm and fire suppression systems. (25%) • Coordinates and responds to emergency situations. (25%) • Coordinates and performs the installation and construction of new and existing electrical, fire alarm and fire suppression systems. (25%) • Coordinates and performs repair of electrical systems including fire alarm and fire suppression systems. (25%)
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
• Electrician's license, or journey level electrician, or completion of electrician's apprenticeship program and five (5) years experience as an electrician required. • Minimum 5 years employment as an electrician working in a commercial or institutional setting, including working with electrical systems, fire alarm, and fire suppression systems.
Preferred
• Technical or trade school graduate preferred.
