Job Summary: Join Pratt & Whitney's Asheville team and play a critical role in keeping our advanced manufacturing equipment operating at peak performance. As an MTS Technician, you'll support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, maintain essential fluid systems, and help ensure a safe, efficient production environment while gaining hands-on experience with industry-leading manufacturing technologies.
This is a 2nd shift position: Monday - Thursday, 3:30 pm – 2:00 am
What You Will Do:
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment to maximize uptime and equipment reliability. • Assist skilled maintenance technicians with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and equipment repairs. • Monitor and maintain machine fluid systems, including checking fluid levels, changing filters, documenting fluid usage, and operating filtration equipment. • Perform routine equipment servicing, including machine cleanouts, robot booth cleaning, swarf and grinding grit removal, oil skimmer maintenance, parts washer servicing, and replacement of deionized water bottles. • Monitor inventories of fluids, filters, and maintenance consumables to ensure uninterrupted operations. • Document maintenance activities in SAP CMMS and utilize the shop floor Andon system to report equipment issues. • Operate powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) as needed while maintaining required inspections and following all EH&S and OSHA safety standards. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• High School Diploma or GED • 1+ years’ relevant or equivalent maintenance experience
Qualifications We Prefer:
• 2+ years’ relevant or equivalent maintenance experience and/or post-secondary education in maintenance • Familiarity with OSHA and general safety practices • Technical aptitude in basic mechanics, rigging, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum systems, electrical, automation, and PLC/CNC systems • Ability to safely work on electrical systems up to 480V in accordance with Electrical Safe Work Practices, as well as instrumentation, control, and mechanical systems • Experience with MIG/TIG welding, fabrication, or basic machining

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
